The College offers the following Programmes :

Higher Secondary Course (10+2) in Science Stream.

Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Semester Pattern.

Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (B.Sc.-IT) – 6 Semesters.

Bachelor of Physiotherapy

Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Zoology & Botany under Gauhati University

Admission detail will be notified later on.

Higher Secondary Course (10+2) in Science :

The duration of the course is 2 years.

Intake capacity in H.Sc. 1st year is 120.

Subjects offered :

Compulsory : (i) English

MIL (Any one amongst these, Assamese, Bodo & Alternative English)

Elective : A students must selected any three or four elective subjects from the following :

Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology/Computer Science.

N.B:

English and MIL each are of 100 marks.

1st, 2nd , 3rd and 4th elective each are also of 100 marks.

In subjects having practicals, there will be 70 marks for theory and 30 marks for practical in each subject.

B.Sc. (Bachelor of Science) Semester System

There shall be two types of courses:

General Courses.

Major Courses.

B.Sc 1 st Semester (General Courses) :

Intake Capacity is 120

Subjects offered :

English is compulsory during 1st & 2nd semester.

Elective subjects : A student has to choose any one of the following combinations: l Physics, Mathematics Chemistry

l Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science
l Chemistry, Botany, Zoology.

B.Sc. 1st Semester (Major Course
Major Courses are available in the following subjects :

Combination of Subjects :

English is Compulsory during 1st & 2nd Semester.
Students who wish to take major in any subject mentioned above is required to choose two

N.B

The two elective subjects chosen by a candidate must be passed in 10+2 standard.
A student remaining absent continuously for 10 days in Major Classes will be disqualified for major courses.

B.Sc.-IT (BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY)

Information Technology is a growing industry of today’s world creating enormous vacancies
for skilled candidate thus to ensure opportunity for the deserving & potential students from
this college. The Department of information Technology (IT) of Science College Kokrajhar was
established in the years 2008.
Eligibility	: Higher Secondary in Science (10+2) with Physics / Mathematics or Equivalent.
Duration	: Duration of the course 3 years (6 Semester)

Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT)
Bachelor of Physiotherapy program is offered by Science College, Kokrajhar. The BPT course
is designed to meet the Indian standards and is recognized by the IAP. The program is taught
by qualified faculty and has a balanced exposure of both academic and clinical training. The
undergraduate program is for four and a half years with a well-organised curriculum and delivery
modes emphasize on evidence based practices.
Eligibility	: Higher Secondary in Science (10+2)

Certificate and diploma Courses

6 Months Certificate Course in Computer Hardware & Networking.
Journalism one year Diploma Course has been introduced from this session 2018-19 under Gauhati University.
